Hello, my name is Matt, and I am thrilled to be your Filipino Language Assistant for the upcoming academic year. Having spent a considerable amount of time in the Philippines, the United States, Canada, Japan, China, Singapore, South Korea, and Spain, I’ve had the opportunity to observe various cultural distinctions. With a background as a Tactical Paramedic in the Philippine Army, extensive experience as an instructor for various Search and Rescue organizations in both the Philippines and Spain, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Development Communication from the University of the Philippines, I hope to bring a unique perspective to our language and cultural exchange.
We will explore how these universal qualities intersect with the unique cultural aspects of the Philippines and Spain, offering the students a well-rounded understanding of these vibrant and diverse nations. Together, we will embark on a fascinating journey of language and cultural exploration, enriched by the diverse experiences and academic insights I bring to our classroom.
